Information
Often referred to as the Chinese or Indian date, jujube fruits are used in a wide range of complaints. Both the fruit and the seeds are rich in flavonoids saponins and polysaccharides. Saponin has been touted as a natural sleep promoter by several experts in the past. Its sedative quality helps induce sleep by lending a soothing effect on the entire nervous system.
BioNative jujubes are grown using strict traditional extensive dry-land farming methods. All our products are cultivated without any pesticides, insecticides or artificial fertilizers.
Our agricultural method
Our farm is in the central-eastern part of the Iberian peninsula in a small town called Villamalea in the province of Albacete in Spain. Due to the scarce water reserves in our region, we insist on maintaining traditional farming methods such as dry land farming where there is no irrigation implemented. We firmly believe that it is necessary to take care of our environment and the natural resources we have, this is why we would like to mention that we are the only farm in the world certified in Biodynamic agriculture (Demeter) and in Bio-integral agriculture (Arborigen).
How to use
Our dried jujubes can be used as a healthy snack or added to your daily breakfast or desert.
