Information
At BioNative, our almonds are sweeter, moister, and softer than any other variety with a buttery flavor and texture. They have an original delicate aroma that will remind you of the almond essence used in baked goods. This is one of the reasons we do not roast or salt our almonds, not only to maintain all the nutritional benefits but also their original unique taste.
BioNative almonds are Marcona types. They are grown on a tree that is perfectly adapted to the Iberian soil and climate conditions, using strict traditional extensive dry-land farming methods. Our almonds are grown without any pesticides, insecticides or artificial fertilizers.
Our agricultural method
Our farm is in the central-eastern part of the Iberian peninsula in a small town called Villamalea in the province of Albacete in Spain. Due to the scarce water reserves in our region, we insist on maintaining traditional farming methods such as dry land farming where there is no irrigation implemented. We firmly believe that it is necessary to take care of our environment and the natural resources we have, this is why we would like to mention that we are the only nut producer in the world certified in Biodynamic agriculture (Demeter) and in Bio-integral agriculture (Arborigen). It takes 10 years for our tree to get to maturity and we only have one harvest per year.
How to use
Our almonds can be used as healthy snacks to satisfy your cravings, or use them as a versatile ingredient in your kitchen for both sweet and savory dishes. Our ripe almonds are dry for ease of consumption for you at any time of the day.
